Chapter 21

Audrey couldn’t sleep; she was scared to close her eyes, and she kept thinking her thoughts might come to pass.

Someone knocked on the door, and she jumped up. She cornered herself on the bed in fear.

“Audrey, are you in there?” She heard Henry’s voice and sighed in relief.

She went to open the door, and Henry entered.

“Are you okay?” Henry asked.

“Yes, I am good,” she answered.

Henry furrowed his brows; she didn’t look okay. She was sweating profusely even with the AC on.

“Did my mother do anything to you again?” Henry asked.

“She did,” Henry said and went out of the room. Her plans had finally worked; she had gotten Henry to her side, and now she can use him anyhow she likes.

A phone rang, and Madelyn turned in the direction of the sound.

It was Henry’s phone; he had left it on the bed before leaving. She checked the caller ID and smirked; she picked it.
