Ellie’s POV

I was still a bit hazy but I knew that Aria was saying something about a case. I waited for her to join me in the sitting room.

“So you’ll be representing some ANS Inc. In a lawsuit,” she replied as she was walking closer to me.

She eventually came and sat on the same couch as me.

“ANS Inc.?”

“Yes,” she replied with a hint of excitement.

I haven’t taken any jobs lately as I tried to forget what happened and move on.

I feel as if this would be a great opportunity to do so.

“What’s the case about?” I inquired further with the little soberness left in me.

“Well, they are suing some firm over intellectual property infringement or something of the sort.” She replied. Silence took over the room for a brief moment as we both tried to comprehend what was going on.

“Well, I don’t know if you can ha...”

“I’ll do it,” I replied cutting her short.

She was perplexed by my sudden acceptance of the job.
