Ellie’s POV

I was so embarrassed after I found out who he was. What was I thinking??

I covered my face in shame and wanted to leave. How could I have kissed a client to escape my ex?

How could I have kissed a stranger in the first place? I don’t think I’m cut out for this.

If I cannot control my emotions how can I control this case?

A lot of questions popped into my head as I stood there speechless. Momentarily I summoned up the courage to apologize.

If I wanted to remain professional I have to show that now.

“I’m sorry for kissing you. It all happened so fast and I wanted to escape my ex. I never knew you were my client, I...” So many words flew out of my mouth uncontrollably.

I don’t think I was handling this professionally enough.

After he cut me short, I felt like that was it, that I had lost before I started.

“It’s okay,” he replied.

I wasn’t sure what was going on. I didn’t know whether he was disappointe
