Chapter 6. You’ll Be Surprised

Ryan’s POV

I can’t believe I forgot about the meeting my secretary told me about earlier. How can the CEO be late?

What kind of leadership am I even displaying? Hmm. Okay, deep breaths. Let’s do this. I noticed that my vehicle wasn’t moving as it used to.

“Hey, driver what’s going on?” I asked.

“Well sir there seems to be some maintenance work being done on the road it might cause some delay,” he replied.

“No not now I’m way too late for this meeting,” I yelled to myself.

“How far is the restaurant?” I asked.

“Just a few blocks away. But with this traffic, we might be there in about five minutes more or less.” He replied.

I rolled down the window to evaluate the situation, since the restaurant wasn’t far I believed I’d get there on foot faster so I decided to take a leap of faith.
