After I met with Ryan and Luke, I headed back to the office. On my way back, I could not stop thinking about how impressed I was with my first meeting with Ryan.

For the first time, I felt like someone saw me for who I was. That alone was an energy boost after everything I had been through for the past few weeks.

With excitement written all over my face, I could not help but smile anytime I thought about how confident Ryan was about me, how much trust he had in my professional abilities, and how he didn’t allow my past relationship to obstruct our workspace.

“How can someone be this understanding? He is such a gentleman,” I thought to myself sheepishly.
