Chapter 15

Defeat

The slow breeze from the terrace blew into Rai's room. The sky was clear but the weather was a bit cozy. The tranquil sound of the waves set Rohit's heart ablaze.

He stood there in the light shirt he wore, the cold breeze could not froze his broken heart. His heart was on fire and only his eyes felt the heat as they shed tears of pain and regret.

Rohit tried to hold the tear in his eyes but they forced their way out and rolled on his cheeks. He continued wiping the tear with his hand, but the more he did, the more broken he was.

He noticed Rai's gaze was fixed at him. The forced smile on his face did no justice to how miserable he looked.

Rai was shattered  seeing Rohit like that. He pushed Rekha away and walked toward Rohit. But before he got to were he was standing, Rohit had sat on the sofa. He was crushed.

"What's wrong with you?" Rai asked him.
