I softly smile at her, leaning down and pressing a delicate kiss to the tip of her nose and then her forehead. "It's done," I tell her, my voice barely above a whisper, conveying the unspoken plea, "please, don't leave me." As she absorbs my words, I watch her reaction intently, hoping for a sign of understanding.

"I'm letting you go," she declares with a heaviness that echoes through the room. I resist the urge to reach out, to plead silently, "Come back to me." But I can't bring myself to say it aloud. "We're over," she adds, her voice trembling with the weight of finality, yet I silently vow, "I'll always love you."

She sharply inhales, her breath catching as if she just got stabbed. But then relief settles in her chest, visible in the calming of her features. It's the calm before the storm, the fleeting moment of tranquility before chaos. She nods s
