He nods but I can see that he's hurt, he hates himself and this is what I wanted to prevent. "This baby needs their dad, okay? You're obligated to be happy, healthy, and stay alive until they arrive."

"And after?" He smiles softly.

"Well after that you're obligated to keep them happy, healthy, and alive."

"Okay," he agrees, showing me his dimpled smile. "I was already working on peace negotiations. I'm going to make it happen faster. I'll stop this. Don't worry."

He urges me to sit back as he attacks me with questions, "This is why you've been feeling sick, and why you've been throwing up and eating less?"

I nod, "Yeah, this baby is kicking my ass."

Lexcis smiles when he hears that and then frowns, concerned about taking over, "Are you in a lot of pain?"
