Hunter’s POV

I awoke to Holly knocking on my door. As I opened it, I soon learned she was in her nightgown, a yellow long dress that covered her legs down to her knees.

She was rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and looked at me. “Hunter… I want you to know, I stand by you… Even if you are being persuaded by a weird she-wolf, I believe making peace with the werewolves and fighting off the Krent pack members is the right move,” she said confidently.

I definitely wasn’t being persuaded by Charlotte, but I appreciated Holly’s take on the matter.

“Thank you; I appreciate your cooperation. Also, I was meaning to ask… Can I have a conversation with the other council members, either today or tomorrow?” I asked.

“Hmph, those guys, Lancer will come at my call; Archer will definitely take an hour or so to reach out to, and then the other two… Tamer might be eager since she’s somewhat curious about you? Fighter… I don’t think he would show up,” she answered.
