Chapter 107. Lancer’s Resolve
Hunter’s POV
The trial continued, and I found myself fighting Lancer for the second time. I really didn’t have a good impression of him; he tried and almost killed me because I turned my back to him. I knew he couldn’t be trusted, so I had to beat him with everything I had, and that meant not playing by the rules as well.
I kicked up the sand at him in hopes of blinding him, but he swung his spear around and deflected the sand attack back at me.
I covered my eyes, and Lancer took advantage of that by hitting me in the gut with the blunt side of his spear.
I fell back on the ground, and he attempted to stab my back, but I dodged rolled away.
“Oh how the tables have turned, you’re the one groveling now,” he smiled menacingly.
“Where’s the conviction you had from earlier; don’t make me regret not punching a hole through your head, boy!” Fighter yelled at me.
