Charlotte’s POV

After spending almost a month in the Mandrake village, we were finally heading back to our village with our heads held high. We saved Godfrey, the Alpha of the wolf pack there, and this would assist us in our coming battle against the Krent. Now it was inevitable that they were planning something crazy for us in the future.

But now we could finally put that behind us. We got home in record time—a single day of travel. We all shifted, making the journey back much easier. Even Trinity, with only three limbs, was able to run at full speed. I liked the fact that she didn’t let her disability keep her down, I’m sure she’s still as strong as ever too.

Finally, we passed the squirrel who was eating a nut on a tree without a care in the world. I was so glad to see the lovable furball again after so long. As we entered the boundary, we saw Iris and the others making a buffet of food.
