Chapter 29. Departure

Hunter’s POV

The day had finally come. In the same cathedral that I was brought to ten years ago, I was about to be made one of the council members of the Sun Order.

The knight and his daughter were present along with several other guests that I didn’t know of. The three priests, along with the one I knew with the sagging face, were present as well.

The Grand Priest, however, wasn’t what I expected. He was a lot younger than I imagined, with blonde hair and a handsome face. He wore holy garments with gold and silver sun symbols on them. The whole area grew silent, and he spoke to me directly.

“Young Hunter, apprentice of the Holy Knight, you have done what most could never do in their youth. Your potential seems to be limitless in that regard. Solaris is pleased with your achievements and now offers you your master’s place amongst the Council. Do you accept it?”

He handed me a long silver sword. By accepting this, I would be the new Holy Knight,
