Chapter 24. She’s a Damn Magnet

Nathan’s POV

Oh God.

I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t hold myself together, not for one damn second longer. God knows I tried. I tried so damn hard to bury whatever it is I still feel for Evelyn.

I avoided her like my life depended on it.

Hell, maybe it did. But none of it mattered because she’s a damn magnet, pulling me in no matter how hard I fought to stay away.

I noticed if I escaped her at a certain point, before I turned around, she was right there again. It was like the more I avoided her, the more she came looking for me.

She was the reason I left the reception. I couldn’t stand there and watch her get engaged to someone else—to him.

Seeing them all loved up, seeing Victor kiss and hold her, nah…..

I had to leave before I lost my mind. I needed to breathe. I needed to escape.

But she followed me.

How the hell did she even see me leave? How did she know where to find me?
