Chapter 27. Is He a Regular
Nathan’s POV
The question nagged at the back of my mind — what the hell was Victor doing here at the casino?
But there wasn’t time to ponder it or start wondering. I just had to follow him, see for myself. Answers didn’t come by standing still.
With my drink in hand, I stood from the bar and moved carefully through the crowd, trailing him without drawing attention.
But Victor wasn’t heading in one direction. He moved around, hovering like he was waiting for something — or someone.
He moved in circles, and damn it, so did I.
I knew I looked ridiculous, weaving around tables, trying not to make it obvious.
Then he turned.
Shit!
I spun on my heel, facing the bartender as fast as I could.
The bartender’s brows pulled together as he looked confused.
“Are… are you okay?” he asked, like he thought I might already be drunk.
I forced a smile, trying to act like everything was perfectly normal. “All good,” I said.<
