Chapter 138. Reunion
My heart ached that I did not watch them grow up to this stage.
I lowered myself on one knee, wondering if they'll accept me.
"Really?" Davina asked with widened eyes and I nodded.
The both of them ran into my embrace and I clung to them, tears clouding my eyes. How could I have allowed myself miss spending five years of my life in these little angels lives?
Just then, Davina pulled from my embrace and kicked me hard.
I looked puzzled as I stared at her. "What did you do that for?" I asked her.
"That's for staying too long at the war," she said. She had my appearance, but the feisty spirit of her mother.
