Claire’s POV

After resting for a while, Mia asked us to join her at the nearby beach. It was almost sunset, and Mia said it was the best place to watch it. I loved sunsets; for me, they symbolized that not all endings were bad. Sunsets were a beautiful conclusion to the day. I excitedly picked up my phone and walked with them. It was really nice to know that the beach was just within walking distance from their house. It felt like a dream living in this neighborhood—it was quiet and clean.

I walked with Mia as she happily shared stories about her childhood here. She told me that their life was very simple yet beautiful.
