Claire’s POV

I hadn’t expected Jasper to follow us here.

“Good to know that you were able to locate us here,” Arlo laughed as Jasper took a seat to join us for dinner.

“I told you I would come with you,” Jasper smiled, then looked at both Luke and me to greet us.

“The more, the merrier, right? We will enjoy this vacation together,” he chuckled.

I didn’t know why, but I felt a little bit awkward with Jasper being here. He kept glancing at Luke and me, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I wondered what he was thinking. Now, I questioned if it was a good idea for Jasper to be here. What if he found out Luke and I were faking our relationship?

I had promised Luke not to tell anyone. I didn’t plan on telling anyone, but what if someone noticed based on our behavior? I thought I needed to be a good actress now—to act like a real girlfriend to Luke to convince everyone that what we had was real.
