Claire’s POV

I went straight to the beach to clear my mind. It was two in the afternoon, and it was so hot but I didn’t bring any swimsuits with me now so I stayed at a local dessert shop. I ate slowly and quietly while observing the people that passed by. I have no intention of going back to our hotel room just yet. I will let Luke wonder where the hell I am.

Some women foreigners asked where I am from, and I had a conversation with them. They were three women from Italy, they were very bubbly and fun to talk with. They asked me if I have some company during my vacation here in the Philippines and I said yes but told them that the person I am with was busy so they didn’t ask any questions about Luke.

They invited me to explore more stores around the area and I happily joined them. They didn’t make me feel left behind, and I used this opportunity to buy some souvenirs for my family and friends.
