Chapter 30. Guess Who’s Coming?

Zoey took a deep breath and exhaled with relief. Her hands were outstretched and she looked so relaxed. She glanced at Zoey and Kyler, who had just entered the house.

“It’s so good to be home,” the little girl chirped.

“But there’s still a lot to do,” Willow replied.

Kyler jumped in. “I can fix anything.”

Willow didn’t answer and just walked into the kitchen, carrying the groceries they’d just bought at the supermarket before arriving home. It felt like a return to normal, even though a man was now entering Willow’s life.

Shouldn’t this be normal?

“Uncle Alpha is staying with us, right, Mom?” Zoey asked suddenly.
