Chapter 50. Another Plan to Other Plan

Kyler’s condition was slowly improving, though he didn’t show it. Kyler shouldn’t do anything to make Reeve or the other guards suspect. He should act weak and not want to fight.

Jemima came to the cell where Kyler was being held as usual, bringing food and the necessary information for Kyler.

“Your brother and the Calamus will be going to the Goodwinson place in about four or five days,” Jemima said, moistening her lips. “I’ve spoken to some trusted messengers.”

“What?”

“That’s why you must get out of here as soon as possible.”

“Are you sure it’s OK? I mean, are you sure they won’t turn you in?” Kyler asked.

Jemima nodded. “I’m sure, Kyler. Because they want to help you get out of here.”
