Chapter 87. Barton’s Eliminated

After getting out of the car, the figure hurriedly entered an old building on the outskirts of town. From a distance, Veronica signaled to her followers to advance. More than a dozen of Veronica’s associates quickly ran toward the building to surround it.

Soon they were able to break in, and noises could be heard from inside. But it wasn’t long before two of Veronica’s henchmen approached the middle-aged woman.

“Yes, ma’am, this is Barton Calamus,” one of them said.

“Were you able to apprehend him?”

Both of Veronica’s henchmen nodded quickly.

“Good.”

Veronica casually walked into the building, which looked more like a warehouse. As she entered, the atmosphere was somewhat dim, although there was some makeshift lighting.

Barton was already on his knees, bound by Veronica’s henchmen and under heavy guard. Upon seeing Veronica, Barton immediately sneered.

“You wretched woman,” Barton muttered.

“This wretched woman bore your child,”
