The pain had begun, especially when I saw the bloodied interrogator come into the dining room with the body of the famous thief. He was wounded, so I guessed it was going to be a very difficult fight. It was not often that Larry had such scratches. His face revealed that something had happened to him; he had some kind of sadness about him or something that I could not tell because he had no feelings for me.
“You got the job done,” said Jacob, not at all impressed with the body.
“There’s no point, really; it was not anyone important,” blurted out Larry in a very affected tone. He was silent, which was not normal for him either.
