I started to open my eyes, the only thing I could think about was the burning sensation I was feeling right now. I started scratching my arms desperately.

It was then that I brought my consciousness back.

I let out an exclamation. I looked around, Marielle and Lucero were by my side, on the grass, with their skin just as red as mine.

When I looked at my hands and feet, I realized that what I felt when I went through the portal had been very real. Apparently, pieces of skin had come off. It wasn’t unbearable, it was like a kind of hives.

Scratching made everything worse. My stomach growled too; my hunger had multiplied. Maybe I had been unconscious longer than I should have been.

I looked around to identify the place. A forest, the trees were pines, tall and leafy. It was a place with impressive vegetation. Lucero began to wake up, rubbing her eyes and then scratching herself instinctively.
