At times I looked at her with growing resentment. I wanted to clear those feelings from my head. But I couldn’t understand how she could have been so naive.
Marielle was walking behind us, practically dragging her feet with a slowness that also made me a little angry.
“I don’t understand her,” I said, squinting to clear my way, I wanted to be aware of anything that might happen.
“You shouldn’t understand her. You can’t. She’s a woman who has suffered a lot.” Lucero’s tone was not kind, she looked at me sternly.
She scolded me every time I wanted to complain about Marielle. It seemed like she liked her or managed to make friends with her in a very short time. I could only see her as the girl who made the plan keep getting more complicated.
“Oh yeah, as if I haven’t suffered anything either,” I muttered under my breath, with a hint of disdain.
“I heard you, Jason.” Lucero turned to grab my arm and hug me, to talk to me closer so Marielle
