Chapter 26
Gabriel’s POV
I patted her on her shoulder before I waltzed out of her tent and back into the chilly night. The moon was no longer shy and had taken centre stage, right in the middle of the sky. It was a perfect night for hunting, and that’s my mission, hunt my enemies. I cleared my mind off Samantha and focused on the mission. I’ll deal with her when I come back.
With no right-hand man, I knew it would be difficult, but I was never the type of wolf to back down from a challenge, in fact, I relished it. Rather than go through the mocking laughter of the abode, I took the back door that led directly to the woods. Time was of the essence, and I hit the ground running.
I’d barely started running when I felt someone following me. I presume it was one those that think me a coward and would like to put their skills to the test.
“Perfect night to a perfect start,” I mused to myself as I decided on how I was going to kill this intruder.
I picked up speed
