Chapter 29
Gabriel’s POV
Knock.
It was coming from my front door. I opened it expecting to find Cassie, maybe she had realized that I should have first priority in her life. But, it turned out to be Minnie. I let out a sigh.
“I didn’t know you were in; I came to do some clean up.” She blushed as she looked away to avoid my eyes. I let her in fully.
“If you thought I wasn’t in why would you need to knock?” I asked as I shut the door.
“I still needed to do so, in case you were in. It would be rude of me to just barge in.” She did have a point. I watched as she cleaned up, taking her good time with everything.
“I’m heading upstairs to rest, call me if you need anything,” I said after watching her for quite a while.
Reaching my bed, I plummeted on it. I turned and lay on my back, my eyes wide open as I look up to the roof, trying to get rid of my thoughts. I closed my eyes a little while to try and rest perhaps I would feel better but all I could t
