Chapter 72

Gabriel’s POV

Minnie walked in in her night gown. She had a look of concern on her face. “What’s wrong, Alpha?”

“Nothing is wrong? Why would you have an impression that something is wrong?”

“No. I don’t have that impression.” She shifted back shyly. I wondered sometimes, after all we have been through. After we have basically seen and touched every inch of each other, she still sometimes acts shy in my presence.

“You just asked what’s wrong.” I said.

“I did not mean it in a way that would offend the Alpha, I was just showing my concern.”

“It is OK,” I said. “Your concern is duly appreciated. Why are you not in bad?” I asked.

“I did not feel sleepy so I went for a stroll in around the Abode that was when I noticed you looking in distress and I thought I’d ask,” she explained.

“Thank you.” I laid down in my bed, leaving Minnie standing awkwardly in front of me. I then turned to her. “Join me, will you?”

“If it pleases you.”
