Cassandra’s POV

I was a mess and a myriad of emotions after talking to Gabriel. I don’t know why I thought I could change his mind when it was already made up on the path he wanted to take. It was so hard trying to convince myself that this was the same man I loved and it was so difficult to keep trying to tell him he could stop but how do we come back from killing those innocent people.

He killed pups and that wrong could never be righted no matter what he did, not that he was willing to even correct them. I love Gabriel, I really did but after finding out what he did; I don’t even know what to do anymore. I’m heartbroken beyond imagination.

Right now, I had to push thoughts about Gabriel to the back of my mind and focus on trying to get someone to go on this trip with me. I should have taken Liam just like Gabriel suggested to make things faster and easier but I could not bear to go with someone who killed innocent with Gabriel.

Right now, they all
