Cassandra’s POV

I proceeded to tell him everything I knew, making sure to over emphasize on the urgency of the task. I was literally at the point of tears as I narrated the whole thing to him so he would be moved to accompany me on the journey. I took a deep breath when I finished explaining and looked at him with hopeful eyes to see if he was moved enough by my story to escort me on the journey.

“I can understand why you are so worried. I would do the same too if I were in your shoes as well” He said and I almost cried at his words. I didn’t know what it meant but it could be that he empathized with me enough to help me out

“So, does that mean you are going to help me with this? I’ve asked people already and no one is willing to help me. I know they aren’t close to Alexa and her mom but I hoped they could be empathic enough to help us”
