Chapter 15. Two Aching Parts

The next morning, Serenity woke up and went to Alexander’s room the first thing in the morning. Seeing that he was still asleep, she went back to freshen up. Later, when Lucas went to check up on Alexander, he found him wide awake, looking fresh and much better. Kathy was just leaving after giving him a glass of warm milk and biscuits.

“Hey, dude, how are you feeling now?” He inspected his face to see that the swelling had reduced a lot.

“Alive. Thanks for saving my ass. I owe you, dude!” Lucas smiled a little, but it didn’t reach his eyes as he felt hurt by his friend’s lack of trust in him.

“You could have informed me, Alex. Why did you go to fight without informing me? You aren’t alone in this at all ‘coz I’ll always be there for you.”
