Chapter 31. England 1423
Alec started out as he did every morning with a sense of duty that carried him better than his two feet in England in 1423. Alec had always known and welcomed responsibility into his life as something he’d cheerfully do—even as a tyke and could barely lift a pitchfork. But now he was a man, and things were different.
