Chapter 21. The Old Seer Patrick

“Each one of us is born with different abilities; you know this already. Well, Patrick’s ability is that with a single touch, he can know a person’s powers. We use him when our children take longer to manifest their powers. I think he can help us understand your powers.”

He looked over the waiting creature again. “Let’s get you inside; they are creeping me out. Are you sure they won’t hurt us or any of our friends?”

“No, they are connected with you. Anyone you consider a friend is safe with them.”

Edward kept his eyes on the creatures for a few more seconds thoughtfully. “I guess it’s good to have an extra line of security.”

The creatures watched their master and mistress head back to the house. They had been waiting for years to be out of the fog. The fog had never allowed them to interact with other beings.
