Chapter 25. He Rejected the Money

Amelia’s POV

“Roses, a whole bunch of it arrived for you this morning ma’am.” My assistant said as she walked into my office after me.

I finally managed to convince my dad through Nolan’s help to allow me get back to work and after threatening to do something crazy if I wasn’t allowed to, father finally let me go. This was my first day back at the office so I was a bit surprised to hear that roses were lined up in front of my office and had been delivered that same morning.

Richard and my Dad weren’t exactly the type to send roses to me so I got curious and moved closer to where the roses had been arranged. There was a note attached and it read:

“It’s good to have you back Amelia. Remember, you owe me a response.”

I had no idea I had been smiling to myself until my assistant cleared her throat noisily and I was forced to dismiss her because my thoughts were still too occupied for any briefing.

It was Nolan, it had to be him because he was t
