Chapter 6. Persuading the League
The surroundings had been engulfed by darkness, and every light in the camp had been turned on. Gossip still hadn’t stopped, and other members were on the verge of tears, assuming that Rendall and others still wished for Clover to be more robust than her current strength. However, they weren’t focused on that. They hadn’t seen Kylian and Clover arrive at the camp, preoccupied by the members, including Madison, Kylian’s mother.
Negativity had besieged Madison as she stood outside her house, looking at the footpath, waiting for Kylian and Clover’s arrival. She hadn’t given Kylian permission to do such. Nonetheless, Kylian volunteered and knew that they were close and wouldn’t let Clover get lost in the woods and be caught by members of the Elites.
“I hope Kylian is not in trouble looking for Clover,” she muttered, crossing her arms and exhaling deeply.
