Chapter 8. Consider the Chosen One
“I have no idea what you are speaking about,” Senator Morrowe retorted.
Gazing into Morrowe’s precious hazel brown eyes, El Capitan couldn’t believe his words and wasn’t convinced by the way he answered. It felt like Morrowe had hidden something but wasn’t coherent in his eyes. In short, Morrowe was too careful with his actions.
With a sigh, El Capitan leaned his hand on the table and smirked. “Didn’t you wait for the juncture the Chosen One would come, defeat me, and end my sovereignty over the races? Isn’t that the fact you waited for my fall too?” thrilled El Capitan as he asked Morrowe.
There was dead air between them. Despite how El Capitan pushed him to admit it, Senator Morrowe explained, “Didn’t I also tell you that she died with her parents 14 years ago? I guess it explained well.”
