Chapter 8. Luc's Saga. Part 2
At a very young age, Luc already understood more about laws and rights than many lawyers. He turned sixteen and won a full scholarship to study at Harvard. The judge, whom Luc loved like a father, without knowing that he was really his father, gave him a part-time job as a bailiff at the courthouse. Luc was happy with the job. He didn't feel very comfortable with the exorbitant amount of money the judge deposited in his account as pocket money, and he thought that working there would compensate him for the money, but he was surprised when he looked at the balance in his account and realised that the bailiff's salary was deposited along with the pocket money. He tried to tell the judge that he wouldn't accept it, but the judge convinced him that he had no one else to invest in and that the money wouldn't make any difference to his fortune, which would become Luc's when he died.
