Chapter 31. The Bride's Escape

As quickly as Anchan made the wedding preparations, it took him five months to get everything just as he had planned. He wanted it to be the biggest event of all time, as all the gods from all five corners of the earth would be present. He knew he would be envied, because as well as Giovanna's stunning, abnormal beauty, she was also the desire of the gods. For a while he worried when he saw the next full moon approaching, but when the time for that phase passed and everyone was still safe and alive, he put his thoughts at rest.

During the preparation time, Giovanna didn't allow him to visit her. She said she wanted to give him a big surprise, and it wouldn't be possible if he continued to see her during that time. She also said that she wanted to see that he missed her, as she missed him, and Anchan was convinced, because once she was his wife, he would no longer allow her to have a will for herself.
