Chapter 81. Childhood Memories
The decoration was the same as the one she remembered from her own room when she was just a child. It was like a clone. On the bedside table she could see a teddy bear holding a plaque with her name on it. She knew that it had been there at some point in her life and that it had been her bedroom. She opened the closet and her clothes, which were in the trunk, were already packed. It must have taken her longer than she thought to shower. She chose a pink sweatshirt and looked into the room to see another door. She went to it and opened it. It was a bathroom. On the wall were paintings by a child. She saw a small Jordan sitting on the bathroom floor, laughing at his drawings.
She remembered that she had laughed along with him. And the feelings threatened to return. She left the bathroom and closed the door, leaning against it and calling out into the darkness.
She needed it. And she answered his call. She came back and covered her heart with her cold but gentle hand. Giova
