Chapter 27
To all mortals, death is inevitable. Man’s sole purpose on earth is followed shortly by his own death. One cannot get out of life alive, and because of this, man has come to accept and know death as a resting place after the journey of life. As much as many religions try to give meaning to death and why we all must, at one point or the other, cease to exist, humans cannot help but be scared and slightly disturbed by the process and the whole idea of death.
Some people have actually developed some resilience and a supposed thick skin to life and everything that has to do with it. They begin to adopt a slightly apathetic and nonchalant attitude that comes with knowing that one day, they, too, will cease to exist.
For some people, that knowledge broke them, humbled and dulled them. For others, it drew them closer to God or whichever deity they believed in. And for some, it was their remaking. Knowing that one day they would be no more made them even more eager to do just wh
