That evening passed with the group of teenage boys caught whining in the cell, throwing tantrums, and spewing all the new swear words they had learned the week before.
Smith had insisted they spend the night there. He had learned that tactic had a way of making them a little calmer and more complacent in the morning. Missing one’s bed did a number on them, and with the discomfort and all, they seemed eager to just spill their guts and go back to their homes, putting the experience behind them. Moreover, they were dealing with young boys, and Smith was sure they would be missing their mommas and underage girlfriends by morning.
That trick worked quite well, and by morning, Teddy was getting all the juicy information from the boys, some even in a hurry to say more.
