Chapter 9
Someone’s POV
As I was stepping out of the car, my gaze was drawn to a woman with her back turned, seemingly engrossed in listening to something. However, she suddenly panicked when she accidentally stepped on a plastic bottle.
Without knowing why, something pushed me to that distressed girl. Before I knew it, I found myself pulling her away.
She nearly let out a cry in response to my sudden tug, but I promptly covered her mouth with my hand. I could feel her lips against my palm, and inexplicably, my heart raced at that moment.
When I finally took in her ethereal beauty, I was speechless, still holding onto her.
“What are you doing here, Miss?” I blurted out, not entirely sure why that was the first question that escaped my mouth.
She appeared confused as she gently pulled her hand away from mine, and as she moved a bit farther from me, I realized
