Chapter 110. Recuperation
She was still in the room at the Leopard Seal’s house. A doctor had come in shortly after she’d woken up to let her know what had happened. She learned from his report that the device had been successfully taken out of her, and when she’d asked if the Leopard Seal was aware of what had happened, she learned something interesting.
Apparently, he’d been by her bedside at some point, and she’d woken up, hardly conscious, but screaming that he should leave the room. Her words had supposedly been barely coherent, but that was enough to pass the message she had so clearly wanted to pass.
She gave her semi-conscious self of the past a pat on the back. Perhaps not a pat on the back, because as soon as the painkillers wore off, her back hurt like hell. A pat on the shoulder or a simple thumbs-up did the job just fine.
