Chapter 51. A Deal
A few days later, Carlos was closing a deal in a classy restaurant as part of his regular, legal business. He had a degree in Business Administration; he was no Harvard Business School product, but he was doing pretty well managing the Man in Black’s very real, very legal, and very large shipping business.
The client he was meeting today was a huge deal: Jonathan Foster. People in the Underworld called him King Solomon because of how ridiculously rich he was. He dealt in jewels, metals, and precious stones, owned a jewelry brand, and had mines all over the world.
He deserved his name. He was noteworthy in the Underworld because of his money and knew a few people for safety’s sake, but he was not a part of it. This was merely a business interaction.
The man was huge and reeked of money. He was perhaps a few years older than the Man in Black, and he wore his age well. It looked good on him. His thick black hair, pulled back in a style similar to the Man in Black’s,
