Chapter 7. Romeo & Juliet
Savannah’s POV
It must be the moonshine. It must be the alcohol. Because how on earth would I be so reckless? Riding with two of the biggest wolves I’ve ever seen, sneaking out of my own home, from my own party too.
My brain isn’t a match for that moonshine. I took Logan’s hand and the moment I did it, he turned back into his wolf. The next thing I know, I was swung to his back and now I’m riding him. He’s probably the biggest wolf I’ve ever seen, and Harlan is a close second. And just like that, we dash on, deep into the woods, clear across the lake.
“Which way are we going?” — Harlan’s wolf says.
“I don’t know, I was following you, ha-ha,” — Logan’s wolf responds.
“Keep straight, we’re going north,” I tell them.
The wolves look at each other for a beat before they continue running.
“She can hear us in her human form?” — Harlan’s wolf asks.
“There’s no way, it’s probably just a coincidence,” — Logan replies.
