Chapter 22

Vincent placed his hands on the rest of the chair he was seated on, musing about his sister. He had no idea if he should be worried or elated at the thought in his mind.

“What has got you worried?” Scott said as he made his way into the palace.

Vincent jerked to the present, smiling at his friend as he walked in and settled on the chair beside him. “So good to see you, Scott. I must say that it’s been a long time since you came to visit your old friend.”

Scott chuckled. “And I must also confess that I regret not visiting him. You seem to have aged years since the last time I saw you.”

Vincent chuckled. “If only we age that easily.”

“What is the problem?” Scott asked again.

“I am worried about Silver. It has been a long time since she sent letters to me.”

“You think she has been caught? I heard that alpha is one nasty bastard.”

Vincent swallowed. “I’m afraid so. I also wonder if she has not been writing to me because she has been mated
