Chapter 17
Noella’s POV
I sat on the cold prison ground with my knees folded up to my chest. I was freezing cold and very hungry. The last thing I can remember is me and Aragon confronting the loose wolf, Edwin. The episode after that was blurry. I checked beside me, but Aragon was nowhere to be seen; the prison was isolated aside from me. I breathed heavily, and cold air escaped from my mouth. I rushed toward the locked prison gate and saw some men standing guard. I tried to call them, but I lost my voice, maybe because I had stayed quiet for too long.
“Hello,” I called out in a low tone with a shaking voice; fortunately, one of the men turned to me.
“What is it?” He didn’t move an inch away from his spot; his eyes were filled with disdain.
