Chapter 19
Noella’s POV
Luckily, we left the White Witches dungeon unscathed. Inside the car, Aragon rode in silence while I sat on the other side, leaning my face against the window. I could not face him. My face mission into the city failed, and it also brought shame to our pack. I guess he must be cursing me within himself. He held an unapproachable gaze filled with ire, and I didn’t bother to call on him, else it would result in a fight.
Aragon and I locked eyes through the inner mirror, and he had these urging eyes telling me to make the first move—to speak first. And truth be told, the atmosphere was deadly quiet. Even the sound of a fallen needle could be heard.
“Ermm... ehr.” I cleared my throat awkwardly, and I saw his brow making a slight move, yet he didn’t turn. “Thank you so much for today. I’m forever grateful.” I said it nervously, stressing out a wide smile, and I got an embarrassing snob as a response. He coughed shortly and looked through the dim glas
