Chapter 14

Greg was in the kitchen preparing lunch for Benny and Bella. He was singing as he stirred the mashed potatoes in the pot. Benny and Bella giggled. Benny was still feeling a little under the weather but was sure that she could resume work tomorrow.

As soon as Greg was done cooking, he set the dining table and invited Benny and Bella to eat.

“Thank you, Greg,” Benny and Bella said almost at the same time.

“You’re welcome.”

They began eating the food, and it tasted so good. Benny was impressed but not surprised. It wasn’t her first time eating Greg’s food. Laila barely cooked.

“Have you ever considered being a Chef?” Benny gestured at Greg.

“No, Cassie. I love my job, but cooking is always a lot of fun for me.”
