Chapter 108. Going Insane

I was crying, tears running down my face. My heart hurt so much that I felt like I was not going to make it out of the room.

The guard wrapped his arm around me too, trying his best to help in the way that he could. “It’s going to be alright,” he said softly, but I didn’t believe him.

He was lying through his teeth! How did he know? How did he know, huh? How did he know that things were going to be alright?

Life would never be the same again! I knew that, for sure.
