Chapter 110. Numbness
Considering that I wasn’t even a drinker, I had gotten tipsy after the first five to six sips. But now, I was full-on drunk. The room was slightly spinning and the hardwood floor seemed like the most comforting place in the world.
The alcohol was right, it didn’t lie. It had taken away my emotional pain. Well, not the entire thing, but it had dulled it to an extent.
I felt much lighter, much freer. And oh, the music playing, it was me who had put it on. The place was way too depressing and down, I needed the vibes!
I forced myself to sit and then downed the rest of the liquor from the bottle. It burned as it slid down my throat. The heaviness and tightness that had been on my chest had now disappeared.
And almost everything seemed so funny.
